It was a great book! The characters are very real to life. If you like fantasy this is a great book for you. If you like this book you might like the Artemis Fowl trilogy Pen name: ConFlame Location: Calgary This is a great book! It's an epic fantasy-adventure story that you would never put down. If you like adventure books, this is definately for you. It's another masterpiece by Kenneth Oppel Pen name: FlamesFan Location: Calgary What a great book! It's different than all the other books. It doesn't have same plot and ideas as all the others. Kenneth Oppel has used his talented writing skills to create characters that are innovative and interesting to read about. It's a little bit slow at the beginning, but becomes more interesting near the middle. So keep reading! Pen name: Banana Location: Calgary I really thought Airborne was a real thriller. Kenneth Oppel has made another great novel again. It is one of his best books yet GO KENNETH OPPEL!!! WOOT WOOT!!! Pen name: Lunch Location: Calgary I thought your book was GREAT! My favourite part was when the pirates were fighting in the ship. The scary part was when the bird bit Matt’s friend in the leg. The funny part was when Matt went inside the closet. Pen name: Z Bille Location: Calgary Airborn is a wonderful book. If you start to read it you will never want to put it down. Airborn is very emotional. It is about a young man that is very determined to carry on his family tradition. Pen name: Soccer Girl Location: Calgary If you have ever wondered what would have happened should history have taken another turn, this is the book for you. It's fast paced nature sends readers deep into the plot. An awesome page turner, that is really impossible to put down after you've started. Pen name: Tiger Location: Calgary, AB 15 year old Matt Cruse is a cabin boy on the Aurora, which is a huge luxurious blimp that he works on. On one of his voyages a year ago, he rescued a man in a hot air balloon who claimed he saw some sort of creature. Now on his present voyage, he meets the granddaughter of the deceased man. Kate de Vries is now his friend who he talks to every day when her sees her. During the voyage they are boarded by vicious pirates. What will the pirates do? Will the ship make it to Australia? Will everyone be okay? To find out you must read this adventurous and action packed book that I thought was good, but not great. 	Albert Le Blanc Author: Butterworth, Nick 2002 Picture Book Age:4-8 Read Features
This book is really funny and the illustrations are absolutely beautiful and wonderful. It rocks. The book has a lot of descriptive words. The characters were magic. The author used interesting words like"squeaked" and "flopped". All in all it was a great story. Pen name: Rainbow Location: Calgary, AB We thought this book was funny. Nick Butterworth is a good author and artist. We would like to read more books about Pickle. We loved the pictures. Pen name: Taffy 1/2 Location: Calgary, AB I liked the story Albert Le Blanc because the author had my name in it. Could you make more stories about Pickle. I thought Pickle was funny. Pen name: Elf Location: Calgary, AB This book was so funny I couldn't put it down. My favourtie person was Albert. he was the funny one. Pen name: The Biggest Pink Hare Location: Calgary, AB We thought this book was very funny. We liked when Albert got lipstick on his face. The illustrations were very funny. Pen name: teacherteach Location: Calgary, AB This book had me read it many times because I love the details that the author has used. I really like when Sally the hippopotamus left a big, red kiss on Albert LeBlanc's face! I liked when Albert LeBlanc went H-HEE, H-HEE, H-HEE, H-HEE. This is the funniest book ever. One of my personal favourites. Nathaniel sure gets in some confusing problems. A great storyline with twists and turns, a lot of magic, and some fantasy. Pen name: Cricket Location: Toronto

I like that there are big words.I also like that it's a tongue twister. For every letter of the alphabet there is also a boy that is in striped clothes and he's in every page.It is hard to find him in some pages. Pen name: Hotdog Man Location: Calgary, AB

	Anne of Green Gables Author: Montgomery, L.M. 1908 Adventure Realistic fiction Age:9-12 Read Features
Anne is a very talkative girl who is an orphan. She gets adopted by Matthew and Marilla by mistake and they decide to, maybe, keep her. Read this book and the other books from the Anne of Green Gables novels and get satisfaction from these reads. Pen name: Beauty Princess Location: Toronto Anne of Green Gables was a cool book I also liked the movies! Even though I feel sorry for Anne but I also do not think it's fair that parents abandon their children! Pen name: ~ANGEL~ Location: Stettler

	Arnie the Doughnut Author: Keller, Laurie 2003 Humour Picture Book Age:4-8 Read Features
WONDERFUL!!! I love this book. It was absolutely fabulous. I have told many people about it and they all want to read it too. This is by far my favourite book. I love the little illustrations and the funny things they say. Pen name: Penny Location: Westminister

	Artemis Fowl Author: Colfer, Eoin 2000 Fantasy Age:9-12 Read Features
I think that Eoin Colfer is an amazing author. My favorite character is Mulch Diggums. I hope this author comes out with another book. I hope I get to meet such of an amazing author. Pen name: Smitkid1 Location: Calgary This book is a very interesting book to me. I like it because the characters are described well and it really grabs you as soon as you start reading it. I'm hopin to read The Eternity Code (sequel to Artemis Fowl). Eoin Colfer is an amazing author! My favorite character is Holly Short. I like her because she has a good personality. This book is very good and you should try it if you like books about magic. If you like this book you might want to try Artemis Fowl: The Artic Incident. 	Bad Beginning, A Series of Unfortunate Events, The Book 1 Author: Snicket, Lemony 1999 Humour Fantasy Age:9-12 Read Features
This book is about three children. Their parents died in a fire and they get placed into other relatives homes but all those relatives die and the last place they go in is a guy that wants their fortune. He makes the children do all the housework. Soon the kids want to go but they have a hard time. That's all I'll tell because I don't want to spoil the book. Pen name: Book Lover Location: Calgary, AB This is a story about three children who are in for a never ending life of misery (well at least in the series). From lossing their parents in a mysterious fire, to living in a dingy mansion with the evil Count Olof is just a small taste of things to come. If you think your life was not worth living, then you have obviously not read the series of unfortunate events. If you read these books, you may have nightmares and fears as long as you live, however, reading these books will indeed change your life in one way or another. Pen name: Bobby Location: Calgary, AB This book has a lot of adventure and as the title says it has many unfortunate events so if you like a book with a happy little elf frolicking with happiness this book is not for you! You will be shocked to see how many time sthe three Baudelaire get out of a mess Violet, the oldest sister, Klaus, the middle brother and Sunny, the youngest sister of the three get into, and of course the bad guy Count Olaf adds to it all! So if you like books with lots of flowers and happiness please don't read this! Pen name: Bookworm Location: Winnipeg, MB This is a good book. Pen name: Travis Location: Calgary, AB This book has much adventure from the beginning to the very end it will leave you hanging. Violet, Klaus, and Sunny have a very misfortunate thing happen to them! Their parents die in a very horrible fire then they are taken to their uncle cousins husband brother-in-law(or something like that) Count Olaf. Count Olaf isn't well the nicest man ever. Violet, Sunny and Klaus end up in a horrible time. If you want to find out more read it. You can find it at your local library. It will be under snicket. Happy haunting! (p.s. It is awesome!) Pen name: real nice Location: Calgary, AB Lemony Snicket is an awesome author (at least the best author I’ve ever heard about!). Violet, Klaus and Sunny loose their parents in an unfortunate fire. Then they go to a man’s house that they've never heard about named Count Olaf. They soon figure out that he is trying to murder them to get the fortune that there parents left behind!! Follow Violet, Klaus and Sunny are in a never-ending unfortunate series of 12 books!! Pen name: Book Boy Location: Calgary, AB Lemony Snicket is a good writer. The bad beginning is one of my favourite books in “The Series of Unfortunate Events. It is the beginning that interested me so much. It is about these very rich kids then one day their parents die. Pen name: Pier Location: Calgary, AB I really liked this book because it had a lot of suspense and was just an excellent book. I have personally loved reading all Lemony Snicket books!!!!! Pen name: Book Lover Location: Settler, AB This fascinating book starts wth entire series! It is about 3 sibilings who end up as 3 orphans. Their parents got killed in a fire and left Violet, Klaus, and Sunny, the sibilings, with an enormous fortune! These kids might seem lucky but they aren't when their distang uncle, Count Olaf, takes them in his care and is after their fortune! How is he going to get it? In this book the work for these unfortunate children and this treacherous man continues! If you like this book there are also 12 more books. The 13th just came out in September! Pen name: Violet Location: Calgary, AB In this book there are 3 children named Violet the oldest one, Klaus the second child and Sunny the youngest Baudelaire. They are near the sea when suddenly their friend Mr.Poe comes along and says: 'I'm sorry to say this my children, but your parents have died in a trecherous fire. 'Pardon me? you must be joking Mr.Poe' cried Violet. 'I'm afraid not children.' Mr.Poe anwsered back..... This book is very mysterious, take you to a whole other dimension and make you read all night under the covers, it will even put a curse on you so that you cannot stop wondering what will happen next. So read this book!!! Pen name: Nhi Nhi Location: Calgary, AB I found it suspenseful and full of adventures. Both sad and joyous. It was a wonderful tale by Lemony Snicket. 	Bat Loves the Night Author: Davies, Nicola 2001 Picture Book Age:4-8 Read Features
I liked this book because I learned that bats eat moths. When they bite the moth, the moth's wings fall off like a candy wrapper. I like the way the pictures are drawn. They look like real animals. Pen name: Cougar Location: Calgary, AB

	Battle Cry at Batoche Author: Bayle, B.J. 2000 Historical fiction Age:9-12 Read Features
I really liked the book because I like Metis history. I did not like the violence. But I liked the way the author wrote the story. The author even told about the real battles. Pen name: Bry Location: Calgary
